Community Involvement

We take great pride in our deeply rooted community ties in the beautiful Lower Valley region of the Yakima Valley. Founded on principles of reciprocity and a commitment to serving our members, we take our role within our communities seriously by providing the best service we can to those who need us. Our pledge to community often takes us outside our branch locations, where we participate in activities, and get involved in our wonderful communities.

We are a Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI).  Which means we are dedicated to providing financial services that meet the needs of economically disadvantaged individuals within underserved communities. CDFIs invest in local communities and the residents who live there by providing critically needed financing often unavailable from mainstream financial institutions.

May 17th, 2014: Relay For Life! From January through May we held bake sales every Friday at all three of our branches. We raised over $1500 for the Relay for Life! On May 17th, several staff members gathered and walked for a reason at the Relay for Life event in Sunnyside. We are proud to be able to contribute to such a great cause!

April 1-9: Oso, WA Mudslide Victims Fundraiser:  From April 1st through the 9th we took donations for the Oso Mudslide Victims. For $1 each members and staff were able to purchase leaves and write their names on them. With all the generous donations from our wonderful staff and members, we were able to raise $1000 to donate! All proceeds went to the  NWCUA Mudslide Victims Fund to help with housing, supplies and other immediate needs!
